INFORMATION ABOUT THE NORTH-CAUCASIAN
ENGINEERING-GEOLOGICAL CENTRE |
The North-Caucasian
engineering-geological centre (NC EGC) is the federal state unitary enterprise
established in the city of
The NC EGC is the head
scientific research organization of GOSSTROY of
In the NC
EGC structure there are 8 laboratories: engineering geodynamics, hydrogeology
and geoecology, the laboratory of the shrinking soils,а architectural - construction designing,
monitoring, remote sensing and, Geological-engineering service, engineering
seismology, the laboratory onа the study
of structure and properties of the soils and Caucasian Mineral Waters
engineering-geological and geoecological laboratory (in Pyatigorsk).
The NC EGC
personnel carried out the engineering-geological researches, the working
outа and designing of the nature
preservationа measures at chemical plantsа in Krasnodar and Nevinnomysk, at the factory
named лAtommash╗ in Volgodonsk andа at
the Prikumskа factory of plastic items in
Budenovsk, at various turns of the Large Stavropol Channel, at the lines of the
main gas piping, oil pipelines and at many other major objects of industrial
and civil construction.
The
North-Caucasian engineering-geological centre is carrying out the work on
estimation prevention of the hezeders geological processes (such as: slides,
swellings, shrinkage, ravine-dried-up river-beds erosion) on the way of the
main gas pipelines in a number ofа the
regions of

installation for the purpose of carrying out anty-deformation measures. |
Recently
the NC EGC personnel have made a map of the dangerous geological processes at

The NC EGC
personnel has beenа workingа in other regions of Russia: Moscow, Rostov,
Volgograd, Perm and some other regions of Russia and also in Republics of Komi,
Kalmykia, Daguestan, Chechnya and also in near and distant foreign countries,
such as Ukraine, Moldova, Algeria, Greece, Mongolia, Iraq, Tunis, Japan, etc.
One of
best laboratory base in the region allows to define chemical and mineral
structure of the various soils , and also to define their strength, deformation
and some other building properties.
